Announcing the 4th of a series of monthly bellydance workshops featuring Improvisational Tribal Style with Amara Duende AND NOW INCLUDING Bollywood Style Dance with Zoria Kali, both of Troupe Duende!
The Learning for Life Center/The People's School happily welcomes Amara and Zoria for a Saturday of bellydance! Whether you have never danced before or are a seasoned dancer, you will find that Amara's workshops are lots of fun, a great workout and truly inspirational! With her enthusiastic, open and encouraging teaching style, Amara will lead us through cues, combos, techniques and tips in this earthy and soulful style of bellydance. One of Zoria's favorite sayings is "feel the burn"! But. . . she promises to be merciful on our muscles as she guides us through a fun and exciting exploration of this lively dance style. Bollywood is a fusion style of dance, with roots in traditional Bhangra Indian dance and branches of modern influences like America's hip-hop. You'll find that these exciting moves and grooves work very harmoniously with ITS style too! In fact, Troupe Duende fans may be happy to hear that the Troupe uses lots of Bollywood and Bhangra in their flavoring of ITS!
Please note that these workshops are for women AND MEN! No on-lookers please, only participants . . . everyone must dance!

ITS with Amara Duende

On July 19th and August 23rd, lunch in between the morning and afternoon workshops will typically be on your own. However, we usually enjoy eating together, so please consider joining us. On August 23rd, we have only an hour's break to regenerate and eat lunch. Neferet has volunteered to provide lunch for us for only $5 per person. There will be plenty of delicious vegan and non-vegan fare . . . no one will go hungry! Whether you are attending one or both workshops, you are more than welcome to purchase a lunch ticket and "break bread" with us!
Please note ~ space is limited! Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
